The National Youth Service centre at Rietfontein in the Otjozondjupa Region on Saturday celebrated its first-ever value addition to its locally produced maize and mahangu grains as well as to its beef. The Namibia press agency reports that speaking at the celebrations, Minister of Sport, Youth and National Service, Agnes Tjongarero, explained that the new and functional facilities at Rietfontein have so far processed white maize and mahangu grains into flour and also packaged it into bags., with a total of four-tonnes of maize and mahangu grains milled and packaged into more than 500 bags, while one-tonne of beef was also cut, frozen, and packaged into 250 boxes weighing four kg each.
