Today marks World Toilet Day, an annual global event organized by UN Water to raise awareness of the crucial role that sanitation plays in reducing disease and creating healthier communities. This day aims to raise awareness of the 4.2 billion people living without access to safely managed sanitation and to take action to tackle the global crisis and achieve Sustainable Development Goal 6: water and sanitation for all by 2030. To mark the day Future Media News spoke to Khomas Region Governor, Laura McLeod-Katjirua, who says they recognize that it is a problem.
