Several visitors to Namibia have cancelled their visits to the country because of a delay of about 72 hours to complete Covid-19 tests. According to the minister of Health and Social Services, Dr. Kalumbi Shangula, Namibia does not have plans to introduce rapid tests at border posts soon, as he believes the tests are not trustworthy. The Namibian Institute for Pathology says they refer the tests of travellers to private laboratories to complete. At the moment, only about one-thousand-400 tests are processed daily.
