Popular Democratic Movement leader McHenry Venaani has asked President Hage Geingob to intervene after three Namibians were reported to have been shot dead by the Botswana Defence Force. on 05 November at Kasika village near Kasane in the Zambezi Region for alleged illegal fishing in the river that borders Namibia and Botswana. The Namibia press agency reports that in a letter addressed to Geingob and Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, Venaani said the conduct of political, economic or cultural relations between the two sovereign states should be put aside, so that the Namibian government can provide a listening ear to hundreds of Namibians who are advocating for action against the barbaric killings.
