Unemployed teachers in Windhoek will today stage a demonstration from the Katutura Resource Centre to the Office of the Prime Minister, to handover their petition. According to the organizers unemployed teachers across the country have been trying to have their plight addressed with the line ministry but to no avail. They also want the Ministry of Education Arts and Culture to do away with interviews as they feel they are a waste of time and resources as one position normally attracts over 400 applicants. Speaking to Future Media News the Secretary-General of the Teachers Union of Namibia, Mahongora Kavihuha said they support the cause.
