The United Nations says the life of Congo’s Nobel laureate doctor Denis Mukwege, who founded and works in Panzi Hospital in Bukavu, where he specializes in the treatment of women who have been raped by armed rebels, is in danger following death threats he and his family have reportedly been receiving via threatening phone calls and messages on social media. The UN Rights spokesperson, Rupert Colville, has insisted that an impartial investigation into the threats must be launched.
