Twitter is enlisting its users to help combat misinformation on its service by flagging and notating misleading and false tweets, citing Wikipedia as a site that thrives with non-expert contributions. With the pilot programme, called Birdwatch allowing a preselected group of both expert and non-expert users, for now only in the US, to write Birdwatch notes, we spoke to Research Associate from the Institute for Public Policy Research, Frederico Links, who said this would be a good thing when eventually rolled out to Namibia too.
