The annual Tour de Windhoek cycling race which is scheduled to take place on Friday the 23rd and Saturday the 24th of October was officially launched at Pupkewitz BMW this morning. Speaking to Future Media News at the event co-organizer Mannie Heymans explained that the biggest change for 2020 was that the event had been changed from a three day to a 2 day race. This change in format, Heymans said, was in part due to South African teams not being able to attend due to lockdown regulations, but also makes the event more spectator friendly, allowing for celebrations to be held on the Saturday afternoon.
