President Hage Geingob, acting on the recommendations of the Judicial Service Commission of Namibia, has appointed three more High Court Judges in order to enable the court to deal expeditiously with its daily workloads. The Namibia press agency reports that Justice Thomas Masuku, who had already been serving on the bench of the Windhoek High Court, has been re-appointed as Judge of the High Court for a further period of five years, effective from 01 January 2021. Windhoek-based legal practitioner Esi Schimming-Chase has been appointed as an Acting Judge of the High Court from the 1st October to 15 December 2020, and Danie Small has been appointed as an Acting Judge of the High Court from the 1st October to 15 December 2020. He will serve at the Northern Local Division of the High Court in Oshakati in the Oshana Region.
