Teenage pregnancy remains a concern in Namibia, and with the number thereof having increased to 3625 in 2020, is even being described as a “tragedy”. The highest number of teenage pregnancies were recorded in the Omusati region which had 562, followed by Kavango West with 522, Kavango East with 520, Zambezi with 514, and Ohangwena with 443. All other regions in the country also recorded incidences of teenage pregnancy with the //Kharas region recording the lowest at 16.
