The Ministry of Health and Social Services has launched a countrywide TB Preventative Therapy Campaign to increase uptake and avoid preventable deaths among People Living with HIV. The Namibia press agency reports that the campaign, titled “Where is my TPT?”, is expected to run over a period of six months from April until September 2021 and, according to the Deputy Minister of Health and Social Services, is aimed at empowering the general public, particularly people living with HIV, on their right to demand for and receive at least one course of TPT. It will also assist in getting closer to the targets of initiating 128 900 people on TPT.
