The Ministry of Health and Social Services on Wednesday confirmed that the parcels prepared by families of Namibian students currently studying in Cuba will leave for Havana on Friday via Johannesburg and are scheduled to arrive on 24 September 2020. This arrangement, the Namibia press agency reports follows the non-materialisation of the first attempt to deliver the parcels at the beginning of last month to students enrolled at different tertiary institutions in Cuba, who have been struggling to buy basic toiletries and other necessities due to a lockdown in Cuba since mid-March.
