Unsuccessful Grade 11 and 12 learners for the academic year 2020 should be accorded a second chance to repeat their grades next year as their performance was hindered by the COVID-19 pandemic, asserted the Student Union of Namibia (SUN). Nampa reports that in a media statement on Thursday, SUN national spokesperson Tyson Hihanguapo mentioned the union acknowledges the effort by President Hage Geingob to mitigate COVID-19 and efforts Government put in place in fighting the virus, especially at education level, however, SUN is of the opinion that learners centred education is their only priority, therefore justice must be done for 2020 learners, mostly the exiting Grade 11 and 12s.
