Springbok winger and 2018 World Rugby Breakthrough Player of the Year Aphiwe Dyantyi has received a four-year ban for taking three banned substances. The ban bars Dyantyi from playing rugby until August 12, 202. Dyantyi tested positive for methandienone, methyltestosterone and LGD-4033, which are all on the World Anti-Doping Agency banned substances list, while attending a Springboks camp in August last year. He subsequently submitted a B sample and it also tested positive. Future Media Spoke to Brenden Nel from Supersport in South Africa who says it’s terrible news especially for a player with so much potential.
