40km From Keetmanshoop towards Grunau, the Guruchab river is flooded and motorists are being cautioned to be careful when crossing the bridge, because the current is very strong. Chief Executive Officer of Roads Authority of Namibia, Conrad Lutombi says they will be sending out a team to assess the damage. Meanwhile, in a press statement, the Roads Authority said more roads in the southern parts of the country were damaged after heavy rains during the past two days. The known affected roads are the tourist Route C16: From Keetmanshoop to Aroab, gravel roads from Noordoewer to Karasburg and the Hom River Bridge in Warmbad on District Road 210.
