South Korea’s agricultural ministry said Monday it is looking into yet another suspected case of highly pathogenic bird flu linked to farms amid the prolonged fight against the disease. The Yonhap news agency reports that the latest suspected case of a highly contagious H5N8 strain of bird flu was reported from an egg farm, 92 kilometers south of Seoul, late on Sunday and that since reporting the first case at a farm in nearly three years in November 2020, the country has since identified 42 infections.
