The personal protective equipment tenders South Africa’s Special Investigating Unit is probing amounts to around eight-billion-rand. The SIU’s spokesperson says they are investigating more than 700 companies while other matters under scrutiny are the Beitbridge border fence in Limpopo and the scooter ambulance scandal in the Eastern Cape.
