Shared responsibility and solidarity are critical aspects in both national and global responses to the HIV/AIDS pandemic, Minister of Health and Social Services, Dr Kalumbi Shangula, said during the commemoration of World AIDS Day in the capital on Tuesday. Shangula said a strong national public health system is essential for the delivery of efficient services that will also support interventions to achieve epidemic control, insisting that “our success in this regard requires multi-sectoral interventions and the involvement of all stakeholders including the private health sector as well as our development co-operation partners”.
