South Africa’s Finance Minister, Tito Mboweni’s Medium-Term Budget Policy Statement is set to be delayed by at least a week. eNCA reports that Mboweni sent his request for the postponement to National Assembly Speaker, Thandi Modise on Tuesday evening. Mboweni says this year’s postponement is because of delays in the finalisation of the economic reconstruction and recovery plan. Mboweni now wants the budget tabled on 28 October.
