While Namibians wait to hear what the President has to say this afternoon in South Africa Cabinet yesterday extended the national state of disaster to the 15th of next month. There was, however, no mention of taking the county to alert level one, as was hinted about by president Cyril Ramaphosa this week. Newsflash reports that at their latest virtual meeting, ministers welcomed the drop in the number of new confirmed Covid-19 cases over the past few weeks and the improved recovery rate that has increased to 87-percent but ironically, the downward trend in Covid-19 cases did not continue yesterday, with two-thousand-and-seven new infections reported.
