South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has conceded that the ANC’s problems run deep, calling on the National Executive Committee to respect its own decisions and exercise “revolutionary political consciousness”. Meanwhile ANC secretary-general Ace Magashule, who is himself one of those being called on to “walk the talk”, says president Cyril Ramaphosa has given a strong, informative and uniting political view at the NEC meeting, attended by both former presidents Jacob Zuma and Thabo Mbeki. He added that they are now discussing issues that affect South Africans.
