The Presidential Economic Recovery Plan is one of the key policies to provide strategic interventions to place Namibia’s economy on a firm recovery path, Minster of Finance Iipumbu Shiimi has said. The Namibia press agency quotes Shiimi as saying that under the plan, which is included in the second Harambee Prosperity Plan, the attraction of private sector investment, both domestic and foreign, should prioritise sectors such as agriculture, agro- processing, energy, tourism, and the blue and green economies. He further explained that in line with the call by the youth, interventions under the recovery plan will provide for scaled-up funding for Small and Medium Enterprises and youth entrepreneurs for employment and wealth creation.
