||Kharas Governor, Aletha Frederick on Monday launched the Governor’s Educational ‘Pep Talk’ Roadshow for the Grade 11 and 12 learners in the region, an initiative aimed at motivating the learners who have lost out on a considerable time of face to face learning due to the novel coronavirus. The Namibia press agency reports that speaking at the same occasion the governor also said there exists a higher risk of school dropouts that could be aggravated by the COVID-19 crisis and that it is already evident that even though schools have reopened some of the learners have not returned. She said the reasons why learners do not want to return to school are among others the fear of contracting the virus, anxiety, and economic reasons.
