Long-serving Gauteng DA leader, John Moodey, who, along with current interim party leader John Steenhuisen and Mbali Ntuli, was running for the DA’s Federal Leadership position, has resigned as a member of the party. Newsflash reports that briefing the media at his home in Roodepoort today, Moodey said he has been a victim of underhanded tactics within the party and is facing charges for defending former leader Mmusi Maimane in public, adding that the party has lost its way.
