South Africa’s largest public sector union, the National Education, Health and Allies Workers’ Union has warned that it will be difficult to convince its members to continue voting for the ANC. The Union is currently protesting the non-payment of the public sector 2020 salary increases, shortages of coronavirus personal protective equipment for frontline workers, and non-filling of vacant posts with Times Live quoting Union spokesperson Khaya Xaba as saying that it would be difficult for Nehawu to convince its members who are going through tough times caused by decisions taken by ANC deployees in the government to be convinced to vote for the same party in the next local government elections next year.
