The Namibia National Students Organisation has undertaken a number of protests at various ministries, in solidarity with Namibian students studying in Cuba. The Namibian newspapre reports that the protest is in reaction to frustrations aired by the students in Cuba who say the Ministry of Health and Social Services has since June failed to transport parcels prepared by their families, filled with essential goods such as cosmetics and food. Information available is that a budget to commission the transportation of the parcels in question was availed, and yet, the students remain in dire need of essential and basic goods,” Nanso president Simon Taapopi wrote in a letter to the health executive director yesterday.
