Minister of Health and Social Services, Dr. Kalumbi Shangula, announced yesterday that Namibia has signed up to participate in the COVAX Facility, an international initiative to facilitate access to a COVID-19 vaccine, once it is fully approved. The Ministry of Health and Social Services, he said, signed the Commitment Agreement with the COVAX Facility on 5 November 2020, to secure COVID-19 vaccine doses which are sufficient to vaccinate at least twenty percent of our population.
