The Malawi government has gone back to the Lilongwe Magistrate Court, seeking a warrant of arrest for Enlightened Christian Gathering church leaders Shepherd Bushiri and his wife Mary as part of beginning their extradition processes -yet the same court already ruled that they should not be arrested by just summoned. Meanwhile the Nyasa Times reports that President Lazarus Chakwera, who is reportedly a member of Bushiri’s church and close to the couple, has avoided commenting on the issues to avoid prejudicing the matter.
