French president, Emmanuel Macron has tested positive for Covid-19. According to a statement from his office, the 42-year-old underwent a test after experiencing symptoms linked to the virus. He will be self-isolating at home for the next seven days while running the country’s matters remotely. Macron’s status comes days after France imposed an overnight curfew to curb rapidly rising Covid-19 cases. It’s unknown how he contracted the virus. His office says it’s in the process of tracking down all those who were in contact with him. Meanwhile, he office of the Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, has since announced that he will also be in quarantine until 24 December, Sanchez met Macron on Monday in Paris.
