Speaking at the launch of Readathon and Heritage week, Minister of Education Arts and Culture Anna-Liisa Nghipondoka said that the week is dedicated to Namibian Heritage and includes public and private institutions and individuals from all 14 regions making it a national event. The Minister further stated that the need for literacy among young children is becoming a priority, therefore her ministry through the directorate of Namibia library and archive services observes the last week of September as national Readathon Week.
