During a presentation that addressed Namibia’s ‘Depleting Natural Capital’, the Institute for Public Policy Research revealed that the country has been losing wildlife, forests, and sand through misgovernance and maladministration since 2015. Nampa further reports that despite a constitutional obligation to protect Namibia’s natural wealth relevant and mandated government authorities have not lived up to the obligation resulting in the country suffering an enormous natural capital loss. This was said by Associate Researcher at the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR), Frederico Links when he presented his publication titled ‘Depleting natural capital – How Namibia has been losing wildlife, forests, and sand through misgovernance and maladministration since 2015’ here on Thursday.
