The Namibian Government has restarted negotiations with Orano Resources (previously Areva Resources Namibia) over the N$3 billion price tag placed on its desalination water plant, as 5 years years after the French mining company gave notice of its intention to sell, government signals renewed interest in the facility. Future Media News spoke to the Minister of Agriculture Water and Land Reform Calle Schlettwein, about the plant which has the capacity to produce 20 million cubic metres of potable water per year with potential to increase capacity to 45 million cubic metres.
