Three police officers have been shot dead and one wounded while responding to a call over domestic violence in central France. Al Jazeera reports that police approached the house shortly after midnight and were hit by gunfire as they attempted to rescue a woman. The 48-year-old man initially shot and killed one officer and wounded another, before setting the house on fire. Two other officers were then shot dead before the woman was rescued, while at least seven other police officers remained on site. No details have been released on whether the man is in custody or not.
