The Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism has been struggling to put out a fire at Etosha National Park, which started 10 October 2020, and has destroyed a large section of veld south of Namutoni, as well as an area around Halali. The Ministry’s Chief Public Relations Officer, Romeo Muyunda, told Future Media News that it is unclear how many hectares have been destroyed so far but there have been no reports of any injuries.
