According to Danish local authorities, a strain of the bird flu virus was found on a farm in the village of Lovel in the country’s Jutland Peninsula. It has also been reported that hundreds of birds have been found dead due to dreaded avian influenza across four states in India. Namib Mills Group Chief Executive Officer, Ian Collard says that normally with some outbreaks of the bird flu, Namibia is protected, the main reason being that the department of veterinary services immediately halts imports from affected countries. Collard added that Namib Poultry and other local poultry producers have strict virus security measures in place
