The Namibian private sector, specifically SMEs, is eligible to receive targeted support to cushion the economic impact on business losses by pitching for a recovery grant scheme supported by the German development agency, GIZ and SME Compete. The pitching for recovery scheme, which ends 20 December 2020, is meant to stabilise micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in all 14 regions which have suffered severe losses due to a sharp drop in demand following the Covid-19 state-of-emergency measures. Future Media News contacted Danny Meyer, the Director of SME Compete, who said the uptake has been very good.
