The Democratic Alliance in the Eastern Cape has called for the escalating farm attacks in the Addo policing area to be addressed following a recent attack in which two people were injured. The DA Shadow MEC for Safety and Security, Bobby Stevenson, describing the area as a provincial hotspot, with 14 farm attacks recorded in 2019, has condemned the attacks. Meanwhile, the bail hearing of the suspect charged with the murder of Normandien farming couple, Glen and Vida Rafferty, in KwaZulu-Natal has been postponed to next Monday.
