The Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN) has announced the appointment of Emilia Nhgikembua as its new Chief Executive Officer effective from 1 January 2021 to 31 December 2025. Nghikembua joined Cran in 2011 as a Legal advisor and was appointed as Head Legal Advice in April 2015. Commenting on her appointment, Cran’s new CEO in a media statement said “I intend to create an interface between the regulatory framework and the different spheres of the economy to create a platform which enables the utilisation of Information Communication Technology for the benefit of Namibia.”
