Covid-19’s impact on the tourism industry has resulted in many entities having resorted to creative ways of staying afloat and relying on Namibians to support the domestic market throughout this period. While Namibia Wildlife Resorts sold well over 10 000 vouchers to over 3 000 customers during their first ever ‘Black Friday Special’ that ran over six day, Gitta Paetzold, the Chief Executive Officer of the Hospitality Association of Namibia told Future Media News that there are plans in place to keep Namibia as an attractive destination on the international market as well.
