South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa announced yesterday that the country would remain under level 3 of the national lockdown, as Covid-19 cases continue to rise. President Ramaphosa further said that Cabinet had decided the 20 land ports of entry that are currently open will be closed until 15 February for general entry and departure. With the move directly affecting the transportation of goods across the border, Stephan Terblanche, the Chief Executive Officer of F.P du Toit Transport, told Future Media News they are hoping for the best.
