The ANC in South Africa’s Mpumalanga province has suspended its member of the provincial executive council and former MEC for Finance, Economic Development and Tourism, Eric Kholwane following his arrest yesterday on allegations of raping his two daughters. ANC acting provincial secretary Lindiwe Ntshalitshali said the allegations are disturbing, while the DA’s Jane Sithole called for a transparent and thorough investigation into Kholwane. She added that they welcome the ANC’s decision to suspend the former MEC from all party activities pending the outcome of the case.
