Windhoek Mayor Job Amupanda, during his inaugural annual mayoral address on Monday, among other things said that the City of Windhoek plans to implement an Employers’ Housing Incentive Programme through which it will avail land to employers willing to build houses for employees at a reduced price. He further added that the City will also engage the Namibia Student Financial Assistant Fund, the Ministry of Higher Education, Training and Innovation and institutions of higher learning to build and operate adequate student accommodation, while also saying it’s time that Windhoek residents be treated like humans again.
