On the closing day of this year’s Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair, Omulunga Radio, powered by Future Media, hosted the very first Omulunga Community Clean-Up—an initiative born after last year’s concerns over the litter left behind.

The response was incredible. Volunteers, fairgoers, and community leaders joined hands to restore the space, proving what can happen when a community comes together. Special thanks go to the OATF Proprietary Committee, whose members stood with us throughout the initiative. We were also honored by the support of Mr. Martin Namwandi and Mr. Opeipawa Shiyagaya, who not only encouraged the effort but also assisted in judging the collected waste and ensuring its removal afterwards.

Beyond cleaning up, this initiative was about building connections. Friendships were formed, partnerships were strengthened, and a collective sense of pride was rekindled.

This was just the beginning. Omulunga Radio and Future Media are committed to making the Omulunga Community Clean-Up an annual event on the final day of the Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair—bigger, better, and even more impactful each year.
