South Africa’s Minister of Transport, Fikile Mbalula has announced that more than 690 people have been killed on South Africa’s roads since the beginning of December. Newsflash reports that Mbalula says these fatalities should have been avoided, especially while the country is fighting Covid-19. An average of two-thousand-439 vehicles per hour was recorded on the N1 from Gauteng to Limpopo over the weekend.
